About Me

Deborah Villalva

I have long contended that the most profound narratives are those that reconcile our inherent isolation with a universal belonging. My tenure as a substitute teacher has served as a masterclass in the human condition; navigating new landscapes daily and engaging with a kaleidoscope of voices has provided the raw psychological data that informs the thematic marrow of Christ Encounter.

Drawing from the staggering depth of Biblical archetypes and the speculative “what if” of the cosmic, I craft stories for the marginalized and the spiritually hollow—those who find themselves affluent in means but impoverished in meaning. Whether through the lens of a celestial traveler in ancient Jerusalem, a child’s mythic dragon, or a hunter’s confrontation with his own internal wilderness, my work interrogates the friction between a world that demands conformity and a spirit that seeks transcendence.
